Im off up there tomorrow for a few days rest after decorating for a week ;)

Anyone know if the Northern Lights are visible this time of year? Saying that I reckon what with the new camera, photoshop and a length of rubber tubing I can "capture" a pic of Nessie ;)

Should be visible from September - October and from March to April.

How far North are you going? Tbf the chances of seeing the Northern Lights are minimal in most of Scotland unless sunspot activity is very high, and even then you need a clear night. Better concentrate on the spectacular scenery I reckon.

You'd be best off going on a northern cruise if you want to see them.

Good luck with Nessie though. ;)
