Scottish Mag 3 Posted September 11, 2007 Share Posted September 11, 2007 Italian media sources are reporting that Brazilian-born defender José Marcelo Ferreira is set to link up with Newcastle on a trial basis. The 34 year-old right -sided wing back is more commonly known as Zé Maria and has spent most of the last decade playing in Italy's Serie A, with spells at Parma, Perugia and Inter Milan - the latter alongside both Emre and Martins. Following a move to Levante in Spain last season, the former international is now a free agent, amid paper talk of interest from both Lazio and one of his former clubs, Parma.
