A quick Google search suggests he's a centre half/defensive mid ;)

30 caps for Norway. Could be a replacement for Taylor if he moves on.

one news story about him refusing one contract offer and the lad needs a replacement?

I'd rather get a recognised centre half in.

Hangeland is a great prospect, and fairly cheap. One of the better players on the norwegian national team. Was at fault for one of the Greece goals but I'd have him here in a flash.

He's 26, hardly a prospect anymore. If he was owt decent he would have been shifted away from the Scandinavian leagues and be playing for a more recognised European team.

Aye, lets not buy people from divisions other than Serie A, Primera, Bundesliga and League 1. Hes played in the CL against United and had a cracking match there. Hes performed well for the national team over time. I dont see why not? At least not for a few mill quid.

I was sure he was younger than that but you're probably right, but still, 26 is hardly old, now is it?

edit: Think he was in team of the year in Denmark as well? Not sure tho. Bottom line is, good player for non-silly amount of cash.

He is one of the best defenders in the danish league, superb in the air, rarely makes mistakes, but he is not the quickest and probably wouldnt be able to hand the pace of the epl.
