Big chunk out of the as-yet-nonexistent mortgage I guess. Though I'm starting to wonder if there's even any point in buying these days (at least until the market goes kerplunk at some point).

Tom, Tom (club), tom!

Two Les Pauls, why young man, oh why?

And what the fuck is that Ibanez strat copy?

Like your amp rig though, should sound great in a club the size of a match box with 50 people absorbing the shock wave!

Orange ad30t and a selmer amp for me if I could find one.

And a gibson semi hollow, not a 335, something with a single cutaway.

The rest I'd just piss away on travel and life.

Debts, fortnight holiday in the Maldives/ Mauritius top class home cinema system, top class pc for games, mac for other things... invest about 10k then put the rest in an account which'll go some way to the deposit on my first place*

more likely pay for something that comes out of the blue, like fixing my new tv, pc,

This is a tricky one. It's always easy to spend dosh when you haven't got it!

For starters, I would probably pay 99% of what is left of my mortgage - I was advised that it's better in the long run to have to have a mortgage (regardless of size) just in case of need of help with benefits if major illness takes hold in later life.

What else would I do?? Holiday? Probably. New car? Maybe. I'd more than likely give it to mrs hips and the kids (that's a good idea - put £25k away for each of the kids as a deposit etc on their first homes), as there's not really a lot I want tbh.
