Norwegians are pretty well off but it's not exactly a big economy, is it? The population is too small for a kick-off.

Am beginning to lose faith in brown. Think hes getting his 30pieces of silver from the same folk blair and mandy worked for.

 Tony Blair was a Pirate?

that's awesome! :D

It's a reference to Judas Escariot numbnuts.

At the start of the Last Supper, Peter started handing out Indian takeaways to the assembled. 'Had on,' says Jesus (he was a Geordie) 'we cannit afford this, like.' 'It's okay' says Peter 'Judas got them in; he's just come into some money.'

Opened a chip shop in Byker with the money left over apparently. Known locally as Judas' Carry Oot.

its all oil money in Norway - and they aren't sharing - and they already import most of their goods from us and the Eu so there'd be no gain if we were on our own

iceland only has fish but they have a "very adventuous financial sector" - which seems to mean about 5 icelanders borrowing zillions and then buying UK companies - and only 250,000 of them

Denmark, Sweden & Finland are in the Eu and aren't coming out so it doesn't leave us with much for the "New EFTA"
