Renowned as a drink, but for years we've had it on toast, marmite style, in our house.

It was only a couple of years ago that I realized other people only see it as a drink, and when I told them about having it on toast they considered it a bit odd!

Anyone else tried it?

Makes your teeth go brown I heard

Well it does if you don't brush them anyway.

Prevents cancer i heard. Belated advice for you unfortunately. Don't fucking hijack my thread.

Anyway, Bovril! Probably the best thing you can have on toast!

Cheese, surely

Lime Marmalade FTW tbh

Tuna Melt deserves a mention too. Tuna Mayo with tarragon, crumbled blue cheese on a this slice of granary loaf, melt extra mature white cheddar over the top with the obligatory Worcester Sauce.

Does it not make the toast really soggy?

It's really thick bread, so you toast the bread a little first, then bang on the Tuna (I tend not to use a lot of Mayo anyway), then add the cheese, finally the sauce.

it's all good!

Just reminds me of going to the match as a drink like...

The only way to warm your insides during a cold mid-week game. B)

au contraire ma cherie, Greggs Sausage rolls keep you toasty just fine.

I'd have preferred a nice big fat plate of fajitas at the match though
