Everybody hates a poet.

Especially one who writes even in a mild political context.

I wrote this a deliberate partisanship. Hence the line regarding hypocrites.

Might make a song out it.

 

I want my notting hill 79

i dont want the book shop blues

i want my may day affray to be in the way

tear up the city in my name

 

 

i wanna roll past the police van

tear down the phone boxes

make my mural with the spray can

i dont want the book shop blues

i want my may day affray without pepperspray

they say theyre giving but theyre only taking away

 

the punishment does more harm than the crime

or the hypocrites hidden in the rythm and rhyme

il step on your patch but u cant step on mine

they look at a martyr but see a swine

 

theyre obsessed with love but they only hate

and they wont give you anything like fair play

these are the people who'll put you to shame

these are the people without a name
