Agreed, lets hope it will allow Milner to play on the right for a fucking change.

Milner imo plays better on the left than the right, today he was shite but understandable due to the other ten players being fucking gash.

Great to see him back.

Looked decent when he came on and offered more down the left in the final 20 minutes than Milner had for the first 70.

Fuck off. Useless as he ever was.

Indeed, very useless at Blackburn and Chelsea.

Duff was always a player signed for a good fee, at a good age with his best years ahead of him ie "planning" and all of that .......

Who said he was a "trophy signing", a ridiculous phrase at the best of times.

Roeder didn't do so badly in the transfer market after all did he ?

I was having a think about with Duff back, Milner being shifted over onto the right-wing, and I'm not so sure it will happen. Sam obviously prefers crosses swinging into the box, look at every set piece we had yesterday for example.

The fact Duff was brought on to play left wing, however is promising.

Are you counting Duff as a good signing like?

He did look a lot sharper yesterday than he has at times, hopefully we can keep him fit as it will then at least give us another option in our very static and predictable attacking shape at the moment.

So in order to have 'his best years ahead of him' he has to play like he did before he went to the club we signed him off.

Makes perfect sense. B)

Most at the time though iirc did actually say, the money was needed elsewhere but when a player of Duff's quality became available for that price we were right to take that chance.

If we can get Carr playing like he did in his prime at Spurs we will have some fantastic competition at right back aswell.

If Tony Green was in his mid 20's and still fit he'd wipe the floor with everybody
