Can't remember if this got posted elsewhere when it was first published, but anyway:

Aye. You could imagine him being admitted to hospital with pneumonia or something similar and never getting out. That's assuming something more sudden doesn't happen to him first.

He's 5 years older than me and looks about 30 years older. Shocking to see anyone get in that state, ex-footballer or not. Doesn't bode well as you say.

Saddest thing about that pic is the bottle of gin in his hand.

 

Horrible disease.

 

Might be a blessing that he's out of his misery sooner rather than later and remembered as the genius he was rather than the sorry spectacle he became.
