Never seen it but I object to eternal sunshine of the spotless mind being at number 9 purely because it has Jim Carrey in it and he shouldn't be in the top 10.

He's class in it though.

Godfather should be higher than 10th imo. I've not actually seen many of them  but I have seen Dr Zhivago and there's no way that should be in the top 100 films I thought it was awful :nufc:

I've never seen many films on lists like these. Or indeed many films generally I suppose.

I make it about ten I've seen from the above, and two of those are Terminator 2 and the bloody Matrix. :nufc:

Everyone about my age or older must have seen 'The Towering Inferno'. It used to be on TV about once every 6 months. Along with 'The Poseidon Adventure'.

I can see about 7 ridiculous one's in there straight away.

What is it a readers voted list?

I think it was voted for by the public, aye. A few glaring omissions in there too for me.

What I didn't know the first time I saw it, Burl Ives had already played 'Big Daddy' over one thousand times in the stage version. Legendary stuff.

Aye. I just know that from studying the play like. Not a hint of mendacity in his performance either :nufc:

Surprised you've got 'Whisky Galore' in there but not stuff like 'The Lavender Hill Mob', 'The Ladykillers' or 'Kind Hearts and Coronets'. No 'The 39 Steps' either. No 'The Godfather 2'!

It's a word frequently used in the play / film, particularly by 'Brick'.
