Telegraph:

Newcastle United could be the latest Premier League club to turn to American investors. Reports last night revealed that computer magnate Michael Dell is considering investing.

The founder and chief executive of the Dell computer company is thought to be due to meet Newcastle's billionaire owner, Mike Ashley, for face-to-face talks in the near future.

Randy Lerner, the American owner of Aston Villa, allegedly set up the rendezvous after sports retail magnate Ashley confirmed that he is looking for partners to purchase a stake in his club.

Dell's spokesmsn remained tight-lipped yesterday, refusing to confirm that a meeting between Ashley and the 43 year-old Texan, who is worth $16billion, is due to take place very soon

Shinton's favourite:

But United could soon be again competing with the likes of Man U for the big-money players if Mike Ashley finds a new business partner.

And he could have found one with news coming out of the City that the United owner is due to meet Dell Computer Corporations chief executive Michael Dell this week.

Very interesting. I like the sound of it and I know Ashley has been looking for it.

Well you'd have to pay twice to watch them, and start paying all over again if you ever changed any item of clothing.
