My mate has actually got one of those hats. I quote his words he 'blacked himself up' and went to a fancy dress party as Apollo Creed. :icon_lol:

Nice one. Hotel was kind of booked blind so hopefully it's in a decent location. When I say blind, I had no idea where I needed to be near to.

Wheraboots btw? Linkage?

Going for 5 nights in October. Advice on what to do/see please?

Eat at least a few times, might want to drink something occasionally as well.

You might want to raise a smile now and again.

Not what I was after.

Just got back from a few days in Barcelona a couple of weeks ago. Amazing city. Strongly recommend you do the cable cars up the hills/over the harbour. La Rambla is a given - must do. Also head to the Picasso museum, amazing stuff. Get yourself a 5 day metro ticket or however long it's for, it's great value for money, and there's no "zones" on the metro. Every journey is a set price.

  • 1 month later...

I liked the train station best about Barcelona, because it took me away from there. I didn't really like it. I don't know what is was. Maybe the general grottiness of Las Ramblas, the American college students everywhere when I was there or the fact that speaking Spanish was obviously a crime against their Catalan ways, but I enjoyed Madrid a hell of a lot more than Barcelona.
