Looks like I'm giving up on Newcastle now tbh.

Good luck to NUFC and it's fellow supporters from now on.

If you can drop NUFC just like that, you were clearly never a fan.

Don't let the door hit you on the arse on the way out.

Exactly.

Its all good and well people saying I shouldn't go to the Hull game etc but what can you do? You are a supporter, you pay your money and you support the team. I know we can get shafted along the way but its just in your blood and you can't stop supporting them...

Dunno like. Empty seats would send a message. Not like anyone would really give up on the club but theres only so much piss taking they can get away with.

Must admit, I'm finding it hard to have any feeling towards the club at the moment. What's more gutting than anything is that it seemed like we'd actually turned the corner and were on the up... when in reality, it's as bad as ever!!

KK was the reason I started following this club way back in 1982 when he signed for us as a player. I was gutted when he left in '84, ecstatic when he became manager in '92 and ashamed that we let a public flotation of the club take precedence over him being the manager.

That shame is miniscule by comparison to what's happened today. The value of the club is what it is largely because of what Kevin Keegan achieved as manager first time around - that's not conjecture, it's fact!! The way we've (the club) treated him in his second spell at the helm is an absolute fucking disgrace from start to finish.

aye.

I don't know what to say. Just right now I wish I hadn't paid for the next 3 years, that feeling will go, but I wish I hadn't.

I'm more pissed off than I've been in a long time

I can't read all of the pages in this thread as some are blocked by the porn filter so apologies if I say what others have said:

My positive/clutching at straws take on this is its better for the shit to hit the fan so everybody at least knows the truth and the air is clear. I think everbody now realises that Kev was putting on "an act" when he said he was happy so at least that's over.

As for Ashley I seriously don't think he's realised what will happen if he sacks Keegan and appoints the dwarf - He might have been told that we are "Loyal fans" but the timing of this means there will be a hell of a backlash. I almost hope he tries to take his usual place in the stands at West Ham.

The best way out of it imo is for him to realise his approach is not worth the hassle he is going to get in the next few weeks and he looks for a buyer quickly - preferably a Man City style one.

I sincerely hope he sells out as soon as possible, although as always I hope its to someone with good intentions for the club, that understands football.

I know you have been told it Stevie but I honestly cannot see Wise taking over full time as I thought he wanted to spend more time with his family in London and thats why he was happy in this job as he spends most of his time there.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Deschamps or Zola (or both) who will probably be more used to working in the continental style management set up....

Neither can I but that's what I'm led to believe off my source. I wrongly thought Gemmill was wrong or hoping he was, I contacted a few people at lunch time, not only was he write, but I'm led to believe by them, that Wise has been told the job is his to lose. I wish and hope it's not true but everything I've been told has been 100% correct so far today.

I am not doubting you, but how do you know about everything being 100% correct today without having any official confirmation?

Wise will be a disaster considering his reputation among the fans. Worse than Souness.

Spot on

I know a few Leeds fans and they were gutted when Poyet left and not bothered at all when Wise left. Speaks volumes for his management

like someone has said before on this thread, this must have been something to do with the barton / pompy thing, as Ashley had King Kev on his shirt on saturday and was waltzin around outside the pub chatting to fans. Ashley will have to publicly come out and say something himself this time instead of hiding behind a statement if he wants to get a clear message to the fans to be able to walk around scot-free without a load of abuse coming his way

Well how about those going to the match (ST holders) go to the game but dont buy merchandise, booze, food, programmes. You go to support the team on the pitch. Those who feel like staying away, stay away. If its under the gate we had last time itll be even more noticeable and for a club which usually always sells all tickets for home games, it will send a message.

I'm with Gemmill on this one, I won't give up on the club, i've supported them for 26 years and always will.... but I feel less emotion towards NUFC at the moment than I ever have.

I don't think Ashley has any idea of the shit he's just caused - don't think it'll be long before he finds out though.

We're the laughing stock once more
