...a riot. I predict a riot....

How ugly do you think it is going to get next Saturday?

Again it might be for the best.

The current structure won't work with any decent manager (at least with the people currently employed), and the alleged financial ethos is going to end up with us having a very strong Championship side.

Unfortunately i dont think any of them will be there to suffer it but i hope its really fucking unpleasant. And dont worry about the players or the effect it might have on them cos i bet most of them would be doing the same if you sat them in the crowd and it will affect the hull players too anyway.

Besides the best atmosphere and the best performances always stem from some sort of grievance.

Excellent point. I reckon the most charged atmosphere I ever saw at SJP was when Gazza came back for the first time, I've never ever seen a player receive more abuse, and I doubt I ever will, Judas played as well which didn't help matters. I think the crowd was 34,000, it felt more like 44,000. Cracking game as well, we were 2-0 up after 10 minutes, should have been 4-0 up after 20, but Spurs came back in the second half to make it 2-2.

Also the game after we sold Andy Cole was a class atmosphere, Ferguson is on record as saying it was the best atmosphere he'd ever experienced.

The whole ground should let them know EXACTLY how we feel, and I'm talking about lower Leazes, East Stand, Gallowgate and Platinum Club, fucking give em it.

I remember the atmosphere at the end of the season 06/07. It was awful, and the players still had to walk around the pitch. I want this next games atmosphere to be awful, but not for the players. I dont want the crowd venting their frustration to the players. Id like to think we can get behind them more then ever, but at the same time really make sure the club know where we stand. the press will be there in droves baying for blood and we need to make sure they get the right message.

I wouldn't expect Wise and co to be anywhere near, but Ashley is in a bit of catch-22, not appearing won't help his PR image, but appearing could be a lot worse.

Not that I'm sympathetic, but it'll be interesting to see what he does.

You're right, from a PR point of view, he should be there to take it on the chin and not hide away. However, I dont think he was going to be at this game anyway. Convenient eh. But some of the them should be.
