BIG-MATCH FACTS The 129th North-East league derby could provide Newcastle with their 50th league victory over Sunderland.

Newcastle are chasing only their second victory of this league season, which could see them climbing seven places and above their opponents; Sunderland already have two victories.

This is a clash between the Premier League's draw specialists; both clubs have three stalemates, including their last two outings in both cases.

This match pits the most recently appointed Premier League manager and the second oldest in Newcastle's interim boss Joe Kinnear, with the youngest in the highest league in Roy Keane.

Newcastle are unbeaten in nine Premier League meetings with their local arch-rivals; winning six and drawing three since the Black Cats' 1-2 success at St James' Park on 18 November 2000.

Sunderland have only beaten Newcastle twice in 14 Premier League meetings, and have never managed maximum points against them on home territory.

The Magpies have not lost a North-East derby since the 1-0 away defeat to Middlesbrough on 22 October 2006.

Distance between the clubs: 13 miles (20 kilometres)

This is the shortest Premier League journey Newcastle will make this season.

Anyone else bricking it?

Yeah I feel sick at the thought already. <_<

Usually I drink through it on derby day, but I'm watching the match in my sister's pub so I'll have to behave in case I need any bar shifts over Christmas. :D

I've been quietly confident about beating these tramps from the start. You only have to look at their squad, tbh they're a bunch of nobody's.

But, it's a derby so owt could happen, imo though, all the pressure is on them with all the money they've spent and the state of us at the moment, if we do beat them this will be one of our sweetest victory's in history for me.

1-4 I reckon, keane to walk before christmas <_<

tbh I think it will be tight but we can win. I'm expecting Keane to follow in your coward of a chairman's footsteps and get all defensive, as the pressure is starting to seriously mount on him and a loss against us will see the fans starting to turn.

P.S Gordon to drop a bollock, the pressure will be far to much for that pansy.

I was more nervous last season. I'm completely relaxed about it, Sunderland will always shit themselves against us, it's just life, there's something mentally that stops them. Man City totally raped them earlier on, and I wasn't at all impressed by them on Monday, I was going to go for 1-2, I am in fact going for Sunderland 0 Newcastle 2.

After what went on with the Ireland set up I couldn't believe Quinn went sniffing keanes arse, the only reasonable explanation is it was the consortium told him he had to.

What does that make Quinn?
