Aye, it's sikh headgear. they can carry a ceremonial knife too, them being warrior caste and all that.

Not sure if the knife is still allowed in UK

 

It's more symbolic than anything nowadays. You'd be hard pressed to actually seriously injure someone with it.

 

Kirpin I think it's called, but I could be very wrong.

 

And it's not so much the turban rather the uncut hair which is a factor of the religion.

I'd hate to sit behind one in a cinema.

 

Didn't we have a big debate a few years back about whether saying Sikhs were hard as nails was racist or not?

I was so incensed by the racist implication of the stereotype I filled-in a lad wearing a turban in town the following weekend.

She should've just asked for a female driver and the whole incident could have been avoided.

 

Do you not get Asian females these days like :angry:

 

Not many that drive taxis tbf and even less that wear turbans aswell.
