Liverpool's Steven Gerrard is dominating the headlines after being ordered to report for England duty despite being withdrawn by his club with a torn leg muscle.


But England boss Fabio Capello is having none of it. 'I wanna see ya', says the Sun, reporting Capello's demands to have the Liverpool skipper on board for Wednesday's Germany tie. The Daily Mail claims the Italian is 'furious'.


The Guardian says 'Capello risks Benitez ire over Gerrard', while the Daily Star calls the debacle over England player selection a 'farce' focusing on the late call-up of Blackburn keeper Paul Robinson.


One former England striker who would be gagging for a call from Mr Capello is Michael Owen.
