Terry makes up for it

Cracking header.... offside though :jesuswept:

For the goal? Or another incident? Looked like he definitely wasn't when he made it 2-1. Class finish, textbook centre half stuff!

Edit: no, yeah was offside.

As I said before the game, you don't compare Germany to fucking England. Only James and Terry are absolute first choice out there, and while it wasn't a full kraut side there was more of them than us. Imagine if it had've been Rooney and Gerrard getting at them. Germany are shite, they haven't got one world class player. Remember when we were doing that thing a mixed anglokraut side, and fucking Isegrim picked 7 of them and 4 of us :jesuswept: Honestly our best team I wouldn't have one of their players, Klose looks a spent force who else is there? They're a wank side, and the only disappointment is our dominance wasn't fully reflected in the scoreline.

We are imposing the English style on games we play now Stevie, high tempo, pressing football.

Sometimes when we play the big boys, I feel we slow the tempo to retain the possession and play into the opposition hands.

I totally agree England were good for a 2/3 goal advantage out of that game. I don't think Gerrard / Rooney would have made a massive impact.

Job done.

Apparently Duff missed plenty of good chances. And from reading the Scotland - Argentina report Gutierrez played well.

Maxi Rodriguez gave the visitors the lead after eight minutes at the end of a superb passing move involving Carlos Tevez and Jonas Gutierrez.

We deserved the win tonight, we were good.

Carson was to blame for not shouting enough but then again you could say the same about Terry, either way it was a gift.

Good play from Terry to get the second though.

Agreed there. If Carson wanted it which he seemed to indicate he did then he should be pushing everything aside to get there including Terry and as soon as the ball is in the box. Carson was a good few yards short.

Eh? I can't remeber doing so (and having found anything by using the search option).

Good result for England. I didn't bother watching it though. Friendlies like this have really become a farce.

The only farcical thing about it was that the scoreline wasn't the same as the last time we played you in Munich. Really good game for a friendly though. Germany had two players of international quality, the keeper and Marin, the rest were wank. Laughable that England are ranked 10th in the world, and Germany 2nd. When you look around the world who is there to have respect for? Spain and Argentina, we have a chance in 2010, first time the climates been right.

Cracking performances from Johnson, Bridge, Upson, Wright-Phillips, Agbonlahor & Downing....

However, most (if not all) of them have represented England before and have largely been absolutely gash. One decent performance doesn't make them automatically nailed on to get in the side each time.

That said, I hope Capello uses them more regularly and if they do maintain their form, they do become a permanent fixture :jesuswept:

I certainly wouldn't rank Germany 2nd myself. But that's not down to you or me but how the list is calculated. I am also not responsible for England continuosly grossly underperforming at major competitions (despite it always being the right time for the world's bestestest team with the world's bestestest players) and being ranked higher.
