I've been under anaesthetic twice, I wonder if it was Catmag who did it, once in the Freeman and once in the General. The first time was class, I woke up fucking euphoric, I really was. The last time I was fucked up, disorientated, the first words I said to the nurse were "does me face look fucked?" and it did but she didn't say that.

Nah, wasn't me - I'm in Gateshead. If you'd asked me if you looked fucked I'd have just said yes

Civil/Structural Consulting Engineer (junior)

Any thoughts on 9/11 mate?

Well Ive heard/seen most of the theories, I've seen the Zeitgeist movie, but I'm still not sold on the gov't killing that many people (maybe i'm too naive) but I wouldn't put it past them to stand by and do nothing (let it happen), what happened it is exactly what they were waiting for and pretty much paved the way for the entire rest of W's term as (and I use the term loosely) President.

Sorry didn't really answer the question......in my opinion they did fall pretty damn quick, given the over all design strategy that is drilled into us, there didn't appear to be much redundancy in the building when it fell, and I think that the odds of both towers falling straight down would surely be pretty high (astronomical probably)

What do you reckon?

Economist by trade, I now head up Pricing / Reimbursement / Market Access for our Oncology business in the European region (around 44 countries as it includes Israel, Russia etc). The Viagra thread should tell you which company.

Nice job that Stevie. Dont take this the wrong way, i thought you were a labourer.

Is that because the IQ of a labourer is pretty low or was there something that told you I was?

Nah, i know your a bright lad, theres no doubting that, i just remember you saying you were out of work then mentioing going to the capital for short periods, i just assumed it was construction for some reason.

I had to come to London because I couldn't find a job, I didn't intend to stay long but I'll make a few quick bob.

its cold up there in summer

its like sitting inside a fridge

but I wish I was on the quayside

Generally agree with your thoughts. The collapse rate and footprint were for me the kind you see when a building is expertly demolished.

When did this turn into the conspiracy thread?

It ain't.

just shop talk.........I would mention when I saw it happen (9/11) on t.v. I was still pursuing my career as a ski bum so I had no frame of reference, it wasn't until i went to school that I even thought about it and so by that time the theories were coming fast and furious, so my opinion may be coloured by that, although I do try and be as unbiased as I can

Honestly have no idea what my role is any more. I don't actually really do any work anymore just make sure others are doing theirs and are getting on ok. I do sometimes have dealings with you lovely people at the HMRC (Inland Revenue) in Benton though

I train dolphins with learning difficulties. How to put mines on boats, how to communicate with humans. That kind of thing.

You work in the City Of London with Dolphins.

Who do you work for? Deutschebank?

I dont get the reference.

I don't get the reference, but I'm having a stab in the dark at which big player you do your tea boy duties for, because you've already said you work in the City. You ever been in the Cock Tavern?

I was on the FX desk at BOA but I jacked that in and went back to college.

I now do risk management for a large corporate. I still have links to the city through what I am doing.
