There is no comparison between Veloso and Johonson. One is borderline world class and the other is a reasonable PL player.

Borderline world class, linked with Bolton and Newcastle...

They're running a debt of 130m Euro.

Even more reason for bigger clubs to be sniffing round if he is borderline world class.

The big clubs are stuffed with midfielders, but I take your point even though it is borderline. :icon_lol:<_<

While the thought of signing Veloso is far more exciting, Johnson would probably be a considerably safer bet for us at the minute.

We're NOT getting Johnson anyway, but 8m seems a lot?? Non?

FYP. Citeh say he's going nowhere.

We'll probably get neither of them.

is the right answer :icon_lol:

Might just be the day to set all that aside and be positive for a couple of hours. <_<

Some of us are working and can't take drugs though...

Well you should start your own business then.

Or we can be realistic and stop setting ourselves up for a fall as well always seem to do <_<

Kevin Nolan and Ryan Taylor - I doubt very much we'll get the Ebondo deal completed in time either.

Fair point about the price I was just making the point that in our position a safer bet is to go for someone already proven in the premiership. Why didn't we negotiate this as part of the Given deal btw. Are we totally retarded or is it just another bluff because we aren't really going to spend.

I read somewhere they needed Given done quick and no complications to register him for the waffa cup. Makes sense if this is true.

MA e mailing in and knowing his gregarious nature I'm hoping there is a nice deal for us on the cards.

£8m bid was turned down. Probably because we submitted the bid at 5.01pm.

Twats.

Why the hell was he not included as part of the Given deal.... this board just does not get it. Could be that Man City are laughing all the way back to the bank.. Given for a cheap deal and then a "promise" to deal on Johnson.. Muppets!

Sooner we get rid of current board the better.
