If Carroll starts Bruce will shout himself stupider with " Get it up to Big Andy". He'll be shouting it even when Carroll comes off the pitch.

Aye, that will happen. I can understand people's dismay against Bruce, but howay, let's not get silly.

TBF though.....that was nothing how Rafa would have went about it.

On the contrary that’s precisely how Rafa played it once we had Almiron in the side 👍

Away at Spurs was a typical Rafa away performance too

Aye, we did just about enough to beat a shit side. The Longstaffs and Saint-Maximin were encouraging but Chelsea and their gung-ho attacking will properly put us to the sword in a couple of weeks. Southampton nicked one but still shipped 4 and I’m not sure we’re any better set up than them.

Tbf, it was an excellent performance and response after the Leicester capitulation. That doesn’t change the fact that Bruce is an old fossil that shouldn’t be anywhere near this job. And it must be the worst Man U side since the 80s.

Edwards is an absolutely shit journalist like. Also, since when is a point a game a good return? Most seasons that’s just staying up and, every now and again, it’s relegation form

He did the same thing with Martin O'Neill when he was covering the Irish team for the Telegraph. Pretty much every fan and member of the media knew that O'Neill's time was coming to an end and a change had to be made but Edwards defended him to the hilt despite all evidence to the contrary purely because he was mates with him and was getting the inside track as to what was going on in the camp.

After questioning Bruce after the last result...

As much as I did enjoy the three points and the performance yesterday it hasn’t changed my view at all. You can always bet on a battling performance against the allegedly superior teams with the crowd being up for it as well. Yesterday’s performance was helped a lot by Manchester United being just awful. The amount of misplaced passes, lack of organisation and movement had nothing to do with our game plan of sitting deep and hit them on the break but with them having no confidence and being a team in disarray.

The problem is still with us having to perform against teams from the lower half of the table. That is where we really have failed this season. The win yesterday doesn’t excuse the inept performances against Norwich, Watford and Brighton in particular. Two points out of nine from these games is where the real problems are to be found.
