To be slightly fair to Bruce it wasn't him missed the sitters. 

Almiron, Shelvey and Ritchie all made bad decisions with just the keeper to beat. Almiron and Ritchie refused to shoot with their 'other' foot when perfectly placed and Shelveys pass....shocking.
