I know we're all celebrating but no matter what you think of him he's a human being. Yes we all know he'll a useless cunt but to go through months of abuse and then receive this crushing news this mor

Chronicle and Downie reporting that pre-match interviews with Bruce for the weekend game have been cancelled, so surely a pretty big clue that he'll definitely be gone, probably by tomorrow. Can't see them have him take training all week and sack him on the Saturday before the game.

It’s so painfully obvious which paragraphs he penned

The former Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has emerged this week as the favourite to replace Bruce and interestingly the current Newcastle head coach has a good relationship with the former England international and was one of the first people to get in touch when he was sacked by Chelsea last season.

It could even be that Bruce has recommended him as his successor, although that has not been confirmed by anyone involved in the process.

Postponed? Granted I haven't seen the Downie update, only read it second hand on the chronicle. So maybe the chronicle got their wires crossed. Wouldn't be surprising of course. How is Friday postponed in any case, when it's a Sunday match to begin with. Friday would have been the normal day for pre-match interviews anyway wouldn't it?

Edit. Probably should have just clicked on the tweet to being with. Apparently the interviews they are referring to are most likely the ones that Sky do for the build to the game on Sunday, as opposed to the pre-match press conferences. From my perspective this is actually another indication he won't be at the club. Why would you do pre-match interviews during the week with someone who won't be there for the game. Most likely they'll do something quick with Jones on Friday, or we'll actually have a manager in place, but most likely not on the bench who will field a few questions.

They spread them out over Thursday and Friday usually? And if there's a Friday game obviously they always interview those managers on the Thursday. But I don't recall seeing managers who were playing on the Sunday or Monday take their press conference on a Thursday. In any case, as I said I think this is just further indication that Bruce will be gone very shortly, surely, hopefully, really fucking hopefully, gone, finito, done 😐

Again, for anyone still looking at the betting for next manager and having a shitfit: the book counts to 200% and even disregarding the two current "favourites" it's still over 150%.

You can safely completely disregard the betting markets on this. A fucking roulette table is only 107%.

He's lasted 2 days longer than I thought he would.

They should just get on with it and let Jones do it this weekend.

I imagine they've sat down with the players and discussed with them, maybe they've been supportive of him as it seems that he's generally well liked amongst the ex players and media. It's just the fans who can't abide him.

I had a passing thought that perhaps a certain ex no 9 from Gosforth, who apparently communicates with Wor Mandy by text, may have said “give the old crumple faced cunt his 1000th game”

Let’s face it, with all due respect to Mr Shearer, he was probably kept past his ‘use by date’ too.

And are they not good mates?

Well you know, a new Kebab shop opened up down the road and as well you know I love to support a local business so I've tried it out every night this week.  Last night, you know, they threw in a free packet of cheesy chips and well you know, they asked if I would just fuck off and leave.  Well, you know.  I was shocked, after all the business, so I went back down to Dominos.  Hmmmm garlic sauce.

When he played for Ferguson, he must have been permanently paying as much attention as Shelvey is in that photo.
