Could be a good one, not sure.

Although he did pretty woeful in his time as manager here he did sign some fantastic players (Solano, Speed, Given, Hamman etc), without which we probably would have already been relegated at some point in the last decade.

:D Utter bollocks

Apart from anything else, Shearer has categorically stated he doesn't believe in a DoF system. We don't even know what division we'll be in next season yet.

Edit: he's going back to Dipperland anyway according to Rawk - Dalglish

All the signs are that Shearer will stay on as Manager.

If its true that he wants Dalgliesh as D.O.F. there would be little point in him saying this if he intends going at the end of the season.

Also think on If he keeps us up the demand for him to stay would be unstopable

If we go down he may feel honour bound to get us back up. Also if he went at that point he would be seen as a failure and virtually disqaulify himself from any possible return in the future.

Ive also heard a rumour that he`s allready deciding on which players to ship out in the Summer.

Very early days but allready he has bought respect and calm to what has been one disaster after another really since Sir Bobby went.

We all know what a mountain we have to climb Can we do it???????????????

If it's true then it could be quite good, but I'd assume it would be DoF in the basically a boardroom level chief scout, rather than a more Wise-esq "yes mien fuhrer" role.

Kev and Bobby made bad signings too, all managers do, all I was saying was that some people act as if everything Dalglish did here was terrible when in fact he signed several players that made up the spine of the team for the next 5-10 years. In any case all of the players you mentioned apart from Andersson were signed as inexpensive suqad players/backup. His biggest flop was probably Guivarch but he came with a very good record and following on from winning the world cup with France.

Tbf to him Andersson looked like a superstar when he played for sweden but like he had never kicked a ball in his life for us

Second place in the league, an FA Cup Final, first manager to guide us into the Champions League and managed us when we beat Barcelona. All within 18 months.

Aye, he was fucking gash like, wasn't he? :nufc:

Sorry, but I have to disagree. Having seen him on CH4 I was bewildered when we signed him.

Having just read through that thread, is it any different to how we all were when Keegan came back to us last year??

Yet we were deluded?? :nufc:

"It took Rafa a lot of time .... and effort...... and stubborn persistence to finally take full control of LFC... and got back our Sammy Lee ... well, that was Phase 1

Phase 2 is starting well, with this great news of King Kenny coming back.....

looks like it's going to be world domination for decades to come for LFC

Rafa has class.... Rafa has tradition...

and no one messes with Rafa..... period"
