Some brilliant characters featuring Nicky Sobotka from The Wire as a chauvinistic prison guard called PornStach. Netflix's original series have been excellent so far like; good production, good writing and performances. It's a bit hasty to call it the future but I love having everything available at once. I do intend to watch it at some stage. Also watching Orange ITNB. Really enjoying to too. Hard to fathom how stupid the lead can be at times. I love a prison show though. Also, tits. "Mad Dogs was brilliantly written, beautifully acted and directed with a tremendous sense of scale using every inch of Mallorca's mountainous landscape and Mediterranean light to accentuate a feeling of claustrophobia and entropy. It's the sort of thing the Coen brothers or David Lynch might have made if they'd grown up in Peckham or Moss Side. I feel bad because I really like one of the people involved (the script editor, not any of the overgrown bairns in front of the camera). In hindsight he should have "edited" the script by putting a big red line through every page. Count Arthur Strong is another one that should be decent based on its pedigree but really isn't. I'm cynical at best but it's lost in it's own rubbish that . Didn't give Count Arthur a run out simply based on the trailer . I've read it was good on the radio but as with a lot of stuff in the BBC 'comedy' bracket I really can't relate to much of it unfortunately and like said, (all subjective obviously) but there's serious questions as to commissioning I rekon (and the reliance on canned laughter) surely. He's up on all TV series' going so I take his reviews as a good barometer .
