Im upto ep 10 of Normal People. Would have quite happily turned it in after 6 but the mrs wants to persevere.

It could be condensed into about 6-8 epsidoes. The sex scenes are far too frequent, long and boring.

totally agree about the sex scenes. the wife thought they were erotic but i agree with you - they were dull, gratuitous and overly long. the wife said i'm desensitised through years of watching porn, but honestly felt they were just boring. faster editing could have helped in this case. fair play, they were going for realism, but why did they have to be so long?

the book didn't go into anywhere near as much detail. it was clear they were crazy for each other without lengthy descriptions of what they got up to in bed. didn't feel like the sex took up 30-40% of the pages of the novel, as it seemed to do in the tv show.

Why watch telly to see women being degraded when you could holiday in Dubai and see it for real?

Anybody watched any of the Eddy on Netflix? Just seen the first one and enjoyed it but I'm a lazy twat and don't know if I can be bothered watching it all. Finding it wierd how it cuts from French to English and back again so much. Acting has been top notch though and as i get more middle aged and middle class I'm getting more into jazz, so will keep going.

Just finished. Last Dance. Loved it. Awesome soundtrack too.

Looking for the next box set. Anyone seen White Lines on Netflix? Observer was saying it was good but watched half the first episode and it hasn’t grabbed me yet

Last Dance was great, I was big into basketball through the 90s so the nostalgia was strong....

That normal people I got to 5 and gave up fuck me. Boring as shite. Saw far too much cock and not enough muff too.

Watched the trailer and it looked as pretentious as fuck.

I didn't get that from it, unless you count jazz as pretentious. Still not watched the second episode though and might no get round to it, fucking subtitles.

I was hoping the English Game might be about the origins of football in the style of a period drama. As it's gone on, it's more like a period drama with football as an after thought. Another one I can't be arsed with now. Everything is shit currently, only going too get worse when lockdown has removed all new dramas.

White Lines is shite so don't bother, the storyline and acting is very suspect.

A pretty depressing watch in a way but still recommended: 'The coming war on china.' it's a 2 hours long documentary film by John Pilger and echoes the misgivings I have with the USA and military aggression particularly in the south China sea region. Also the Marshall Islands disgrace and experimentation on the islanders is documented as well. It's on Amazon prime.

Finally started watching Ozark and really liked the first couple of episodes.  Just baffled that Peter Mullan's name has come up in the titles of both and I can't work out who he is in it.

Watched Defending Jacob recently and that's canny.  Captain America playing an ADA who's son is charged with the murder of classmate.  JK Simmons is in it too which is a plus.
