Are we all watching the new Alien TV show? It's pretty good stuff.

Aye it is, a new Alien story that's not garbage unlike basically everything since Aliens. Not before time.

Fuck me, I feel like Ask Jeeves.

Disney Plus.

Thanks for that, Jeeves. :good: (also quite refreshing to know you see yourself as my subordinate on here. Fair play).

Just watched the trailer, didn't realise it was actually based on alien the film. Could never get away with them. I'm just disappointed in Jeeves tbh. :(

What do you mean "couldn't get away with them" the first two are classics, they probably should have cast Anthony Quinn as Ripley though.

Anyone watched football's financial shame on the BBC iPlayer yet? Had no idea the extent some footballers have been driven almost to suicide, bankruptcy and are still being pursued by the HMRC. One of them is Danny Murphy which explains his demeanor. Him and many old pros mainly from the 90s got absolutely rinsed by conmen. Definitely worth a watch.

I mean they were trying to dodge tax by investing in the movie making scheme the same as take that did. They were taken by shit investors because they got into something they didn’t understand and didnt ask for a 2nd opinion. I’m trying really hard to give a shit.

For anyone with any memories of Newcastle in 1984, this weird documentary film without narration is worth a watch.

Rewatching all the Sunny's. It's still probably the best thing on telly atm

This is weirdly blocked on my basic Netflix subscription. Something to do with the adverts?

Thanks for this, Alex. It's mental seeing the footage of Eldon Square - brought back memories of being in and out of WHSmith buying Panini football stickers with my pocket money.

It just came up on my recommendations. I follow BBC Archive on YouTube. When I’ve tried to find out more about it, it’s in relation to Orwell’s 1984 and how much of it had came true by that year. It was only when I started watching it and thought the opening scene was the Tyne Tunnel back then. Then as it went on I realised it’s all in and around Newcastle without ever mentioning the fact until a small reference in the end titles and credited locations.

It's popped up on my feed but I haven't watched it yet. I'll give it a look later. :good:
