Bradford, Premier League, 1999-2000 Paul Jewell's side had to better Wimbledon's result, who were playing at Southampton, to ensure they stayed in the Premiership. Bradford's opponents on the final day were Champions League chasing Liverpool - the task couldn't have been more difficult. Jewell was determined for his team not to become one-season wonders in the Premiership and a 12th minute header from defender David Wetherall ensured that they had one foot in the safety door. With the Dons losing 2-0, Bradford held on to their early lead in one of the most nerve-jangling games you're likely to ever see. West Ham, Premier League, 2006-2007 West Ham defeated Manchester United at Old Trafford on the final day of the season to cap one of the most audacious escape acts of all-time. The Hammers faced one of the most daunting fixture lists as they looked to escape the drop, but their Carlos Tevez inspired side pulled off some of the shock results of the season. Of the last nine games, West Ham won seven of them, including victories against Everton and away at Arsenal. It came down to the final day and future United player Tevez (pictured) scored the winner at Old Trafford, saving West Ham and condemning Sheffield United to relegation. The fall-out of West Ham's escape act saw them pursued through the courts for fielding ineligible players in the shape of Tevez and Javier Mascherano and ordered to pay Sheffield United millions of pounds in compensation.
