Hopefully to announce that the club is sold.

But being realistic, he'll just say that he's still trying to sell the club, X amount of offers etc etc. :jesuswept:

issues

1. Shock to revenue line from promotion £30-£40 million

2. Wages

"doing quite well on finding a buyer, wish could make an announcement, painstaking care. Optimism gone in market therefore lots more risk assessment"

Frustrating for Mike, the management, Keith. Daily grind of a lot of commitment. Fans hassling, him he can't answer all.

Important to show players could be sold, prospective buyers sees lower wage bill. Several others WILL go, a couple may come in.

Something should happen by end of August.

Something will happen, we are doing our best.

hinting that it will be oversees wealth however highlighting local influence is very important at newcastle.

Sale by the end of August???

But not predicting where the buyer will come from, so.... probably not then. :jesuswept:

Made me laugh. On one hand suggesting an announcement will be made by end of the month yet later stating it is a slow process and they have no idea where a buyer could come from. Seems the end of month announcement will be "sorry, no news today".

No sale anytime soon, players are going to leave, maybe one or two coming in. Shock, nothing we didnt expect.

Why should the bloke selling the club have any say or be the one to announce that?

When will these people stop being Ashleys puppet and just get on with selling the club?

They haven't moved the goal posts again surely?... I can't believe it :jesuswept:

Another deadline in a month's time, what a shocker - anyone willing to take the bet that come the end of August there will be an announcement that we'll be sold by the end of October?

From The Times:

Newcastle United

They will be the biggest draw in the Championship but that also makes them the biggest scalp. Add to that they are the biggest mess, with the most to lose, and the immediate future looks rather less bright than their horrendous new away kit. So much for the good news. After the 6-1 hammering by Leyton Orient, the exit of Obafemi Martins is likely to trigger more departures, so whoever takes over as manager at St James’ Park — Alan Shearer, Kevin Keegan or Mike Ashley — will have his work cut out to sort a team shape by teatime this Saturday. Unless the club are sold into sensible hands soon, they could even get relegated.

Prediction: 20
