..all this shite on the address bar ?

I'm using Firefox.

For example, when I type in 'N', the predictive address opens with Newcastle-online.com, which is nay fuckin' good anymore. And if I click on the arrow I get all manner of addresses which I no longer want. I've been through Tools and Options, but I cannit see where to get rid of this shite. Loads of addresses with nice Jewish stars as well, which are really old and no longer wanted.

Well ??

you can just press delete when they are highlighted.

So you only get rid of the ones you want and keep all the good.

So you wont end up at youtube when you are looking for youporn.

Go to ''Tools'' then ''options'' then ''privacy''.

There is a drop down box and before it ''Firefox will...''

Then scroll down and click ''never remember history''.

Then look at the ticked boxes, make sure all the boxes are unticked apart from ''Clear history when firefox closes'' which should be ticked.

Further down the menu you will see the title ''Location bar''

It should read ''When using the location bar suggest -''

It should read 'When using the location bar suggest nothing''

Select this option in the drop down menu.

It should be fine after this

There's no drop down box in the Privacy section (or any other).

Which Firefox are you on?

If it's an older version just make sure all those settings are as above but perhaps with a different menu.

It may also be under ''security''.

Yeah, they changed it in Firefox3. If you're running FF2, you can 'Clear Private Data' or whatever it;'s called under the Tools menu. There is a shortcut for it too. I'm running FF3 so I can't remember what it's like under FF2.

Also, Ctrl+Shift+P enables 'Private Browsing'. Perfect for sites you dont want cached like banking sites or 'babesbonkbadgers.com' or whatever it is you're trying to getr rid of
