Sunderland got 105 points a few years back which was only beaten by Reading with 107 about 2 years ago ? Can we beat that ? Probably not, but could be fairly close. 138 points in total up for grabs with only 2 lost so far with 1/9th of the season gone. I can see no more than 6 teams getting points from us up here - lets say 2 losses and 4 draws = 55 points. Away from home I can see a minimum of 10 wins = 30 points, plus at least 6 draws. 36 + 55 = 91 and the title won. This isn't as easy as the CCC was the last few years. Boro, West Brom, Cardiff all pushing for the top spots and a few other teams looking good so far. You can't judge how a league will go til about Xmas when it starts to take shape, Look at this time last season in the premiership or even the CCC. It's got fuck all do to with who we should or shouldn't beat, with our strongest first eleven we should beat most, if not all teams in the Championship. The problem is keeping that first eleven fit and uninjured for the entire season you fucking flid. We don't have the cover so unless we have miraculously indestructible players we'll have to field a weakened team at some point when other teams will be more likely to beat us. You are being delusional silly sod. Until the league has progessed further there can be no idea of what stengths the other teams have. You can't go on last seasons performences as in all probability they have been more active than we have during the transfer window, and we are wafer thin in some areas and injuries could wreak havoc for us as we are experiencing now to some degree. Problem is, this league is an unkown quantity for us so potentially any team could beat us anywhere. Out of the games we've played so far, the only team likely to be challenging for automatic promotion is West Brom and we only managed a draw against them. Plus, injuries, confidence and form all play a big part. With the players we had last season we should not have got relegated but we did.
