Mancienne's all the biz this morning.. season long loan..

Chelsea defender Michael Mancienne re-joined Wolverhampton Wanderers on a season-long loan on Thursday, the Premier League champions said.

The 22-year-old spent most of last season at Wolves, helping them retain their Premier League status and also had a spell there in 2008-09.

Mancienne, a regular call-up for England under-21s, made six appearances for Chelsea under previous coach Guus Hiddink.

From a supposedly reliable Spurs ITK via someone on another forum;

Thread title is called: "Hughton has phoned"

Post content is: "mr robbie keane..i don't know if he will pull it off."

The bloke's pretty reliable.

Sticking point is Robbie wants Celtic and no-one else, it seems. Still, you never know.

NEWCASTLE boss Chris Hughton is closing in on a deal for Tottenham striker Robbie Keane.

Keane, 30, is a favourite of the ex-Spurs No 2 and White Hart Lane sources were last night claiming the club were finally ready to let the Irishman go.

The source said: "Spurs would hope for at least £6million and it will be no surprise if the deal was done before deadline day."

And Hughton is set to tie up one striker deal this morning with Hatem Ben Arfa expected at St James' Park to thrash out terms over a year-long loan from Marseille.

The Magpies will have an option to buy the France winger, 23, for around £6million next summer.

Marseille president Jean-Claude Dassier said: "They offered to raise the price for the option to buy if Hatem plays 25 matches."

The Toon are also in talks with Manchester City over a loan switch for Belgian defender Dedryck Boyata, 19.

Boyata has made three appearances for City prior to this season.

Hope its true, but 6m for a 30 year old?.

Also just seen that Spurs are in talks with Milan over Huntelaar, so if they get him then i dont see why we cant get Keane.

Have heard that too. Supposedly Lassana Diarra is in talks with Tottenham as well.

Be a decent addition but he's probably not the least bit interested in playing for us. At 30 years old and with Spurs looking for a decent transfer fee, he doesn't fit our target market of young players with development potential or players on a free transfer.

Most importantly of all he has the worst goal celebration in the history of football. It's so shit it's embarrassing.

Dedryck Boyata is another name being thrown about for us. Belgian U21 defender from Man City. Guess it would be just a loan with no other clause to buy, but would be a great signing if we could get him permanently imo.

There anything at all in this Van Wolfswinkel rumour?

;) Is this a made up name?

"Newcastle Unite are believed to be closing in on young Dutch striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel.

The 21-year old forward, who netted a hat-trick to knock Celtic out of the Europa League midweek, is being monitored by the Magpies with the northern club ready to make an offer for his services.

Mirror Football suggests the Toon will throw in a bid of around £8million for the Dutch international as they try to beat off competition from the likes of Liverpool to bring him in prior to the transfer window closing."

2. Since when have we had a spare £8?

3. Reminds me of a Xisco
