There's a kid on NO who's absolutely insistent that this transfer window was a success. To be fair, most people are lining up to call him a twat, but what a clueless twat.

If we had signed Cisse or Maiga i think there would be a strong case for that. Unfortunately given as the one player missing is the most important overall, its a case of close but no cigar.

In all honesty, I would question the word 'close' in that sentence.

Santon I'm really pleased with don't get me wrong but the main striker berth wasn't just something you can have an 11th hour punt at, if indeed we did actually do that at all. In the context of the position being vacant since last January I mean.

Aye.

Just going back to the point regarding David Craig; he really, and I mean REALLY, went on about how hard everyone at NUFC was working behind the scenes. The man doth protest too much.

That bloke is a fucking arsehole. I'd love to see someone plant him one on the telly.

"Developments at St James PARK! David Craig, what can you tell us?"

*KA-FUCK*

Tim nice but dim teeth all over the shop.

The thing with David Craig as well....that's the exact same patter he was given in the last window, and it's just like "apply some critical thinking you stupid cunt. Have an opinion. Don't just stand there reading out the same patter you did 6 months ago. What do you think is really happening?"

The whole thing is orchestrated with the agents and clubs. At 10.30pm Sunderland get news of Bendtner and we get news of no deals coming off and the cameras are at Sunderland. Coincidence or planning. The charade with the text just in which takes him one second to read and 2 minutes to explain, the Sky coverage is just theatre and his role is not to report but to act out the excitement.

Aye I know he's neither paid for, nor capable of, thinking for himself. I just fucking detest the little prick. I can't watch SSN at the best of times, but deadline day is an absolute no-no.

When you said you 'went out last night', did you mean in your bare feet by any chance? :clapping:

The Carriage is a funny pub like.

Never been in since about 1998, used to be full of posh cunts.

Not somewhere I would go very often like. Unless I was going to the Valley Junction. Not been there for ages either though. That's full of posh cunts as well :clapping:

I was hoping we would get a striker yesterday but as I posted I thought unless we shifted one then it wouldn't happen. I thought Ranger to Brum was a cert but maybe him twatting someone put paid to it.

Don't get me wrong I think its a disgrace we didn't get a striker in given the amount of time we have had let alone leaving it to the last day. I'm also glad we didn't go in for shite like Cole/Crouch in desperation. With Ben Arfa,BA and if Best carries on scoring then we will be safe but I was hoping for more this season. It's up to Pardew to get the best out of the team and ride our luck with injuries.

I think its pretty clear the people at the top know fuck all about how football deals work. Ashley is a whizz at flogging crap sportswear to chavs and Lamearse runs casinos, bit of a joke really

More or less agree with all that but I don't believe that Ranger not going had much significance re: our dealings yesterday.
