The 21-year-old striker netted a hat-trick last week as Utrecht sent Celtic crashing out of the Europa League with a 4-0 home leg triumph. Van Wolfswinkel, who recently made his senior international debut for Holland in a 1-1 draw against Ukraine, has scored 12 goals in all competitions this season. Centre of attention: Utrecht's Ricky van Wolfswinkel has scored 12 times already this season Dutch sources claim the Geordies have been monitoring the player in recent weeks and are ready to launch a bid to take him to Tyneside. Liverpool were recently linked with an £8 million move for van Wolfswinkel and since then the two clubs have been drawn in the same Europa League group. Newcastle also had a scout at Portsmouth's 2-0 home defeat by Cardiff to check on skipper Marc Wilson, although Fulham, Stoke, West Ham and West Brom are also interested. Looks a very decent player, whether we will bother to pull any money out of our remains to be seen, but hopefully we get another decent striker, whether it be Keane or RVW. That is if the Youtube video is anything to go by, which normally they aren't. Therefore if this guy doesn't look good on Youtube and Nacho Gonzalez does, then this guy must be bloody awesome.
