Bellamy's £120k Bentley trashed

Car thieves earned soccer star Craig Bellamy a ticking off from his mum when they smashed head-on into his £120,000 Bentley.

The Wales international's luxury motor was badly damaged when he left it outside his partner's parents' home in Cardiff's Trowbridge estate.

Youths in a stolen Ford Fiesta rammed into the front of the black Bentley Continental GT sports coupe.

But the 26-year-old Blackburn Rovers ace wasn't going to get any sympathy from his mum Angela, of St Mellons.

'If you bring a car like that on to the estate, that is what is going to happen,' she told the £50,000-a-week striker.

'A car like that is worth more than a house around here.'

Dad Doug, 51, said he feared it could have been part of a hate campaign against the hot-headed striker who has caused controversy on and off the pitch. It is the second time the Bellamy's collection of expensive cars have been targeted in Cardiff.

Just months ago yobs used keys to scratch his £125,000 silver Ferrari Spider near his apartment in central Cardiff.

Doug, a driving instructor, said: 'He has been the target of yobs in the past just because he has a high profile.

'There were two incidents in a short time and it looks like he is being targeted again.

'There is always someone who is going to be envious and jealous of his success.

'I appeal to anyone who knows who these people are to contact the police.'

Angela added: 'It must have been deliberate, they went into it head-on. He wasn't very happy.'

Bellamy has two sons, Ellis and Cameron, with his partner Claire from Trowbridge, where he also grew up.

A South Wales Police spokesman said: 'The Ford Fiesta was taken from a neighbouring street earlier and two people were seen running away after it hit the Bentley.

'We are also investigating the damage to the Ferrari.'

I blame Souness. Maybe it was him and Saunders in the Fiesta...

Wasn't it a Fiesta used in the road-rage incident Peasepud had? ;)
