Andy Carroll's car torched at Kevin Nolan's home

TOON striker Andy Carroll’s car was torched while parked on the drive of team-mate Kevin Nolan's house.

Carroll is living with the Magpies skipper as a condition of his bail after being charged with the alleged assault of a teenager.

Nolan also had his garage door daubed with graffiti when his property in Northumberland was targeted last night.

Police were called after the United pair spotted Carroll’s chrome-plated Range Rover - which he recently bought to celebrate being awarded a new five-year contract - in flames on the drive.

Firefighters arrived at the house at around 7pm.

And when police got there, they found graffiti relating to the Gateshead-born striker scrawled on Nolan’s garage door.

Today, the obscenities had been covered-up with a sheet, while security staff stood guard outside house to prevent any other intruders gaining access.

A Northumbria Police spokesman said:"A car was set on fire at 7.08pm on Wednesday, October 20.

"Police received a report from the fire and rescue service of a fire outside an address.

"Officers attended and a Range Rover was found to be on fire. The fire was extinguished by the fire and rescue service and no one was injured.

"The garage door of the property was also vandalised. Inquiries into the incident are ongoing and police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them on 0345 043043 ext 69191 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."

Carroll is living with Nolan after appearing in court accused of assaulting an ex-girlfriend. He was arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning after police were called to a house in Ponteland where an 18-year-old had suffered head injuries.

The England under-21 forward appeared before Hexham Magistrates’ Court, where he told the bench he was currently living at Jesmond Dene House hotel, in Newcastle.

His case was adjourned until January 10, 2011 with a condition of his bail that he lives with Nolan at the skipper’s home.

It came after Carroll, an Academy product, signed a new five-year contract. After securing the deal, he splashed out on the Range Rover, which has gadgets inside it, including a games console in the back.

The former Joseph Swan School pupil made his first- team debut in November 2006 at the age of 17 and his Premier League debut three months later.

POLICE EXAMINE CARROLL CAR WRECKAGE

Posted 21/10/10 14:34

Police are examining the burned-out car of Newcastle United striker Andy Carroll.

The England Under-21 forward's brand new chrome plated Range Rover was set ablaze as it stood on the drive of team-mate Kevin Nolan's country house.

Carroll, who was recently awarded a new five-year contract, is staying at the house of the Magpies' skipper as part of his bail conditions after being charged with the alleged assault of a teenager.

Nolan's garage door was also daubed with graffiti during the attack on Wednesday night.

Police were called Carroll's Range Rover was seen in flames on the drive.

Firefighters arrived at the house at about 7pm.

Security men stood guard outside the detached house in leafy Darras Hall, Northumberland, as forensic experts combed the scene for evidence.

Carroll's Range Rover, which was partially obscured behind parked cars and an ornamental stone garden fountain, looked badly fire damaged.

Its bonnet was open and windows smashed.

A Northumbria Police patrol car blocked the entrance to the drive.

Nolan's graffiti-damaged garage door was covered with a sheet, beneath which the letters W I could be seen sprayed in black paint.

A Northumbria Police spokesman said: "The fire was extinguished by the fire and rescue service and no one was injured. The garage door of the property was also vandalised.

"Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them."

Sack him, don't need mafia style bollocks going on at our player's houses ffs.

Aye ok  Let's torch Bent's car and hope Sunderland sack him too.

1. He's a far superior player

2. He doesn't go round repeatedly attacking team-mates/the public/ugly women/any carbon based life-form

3. No one will torch his car because he doesn't muck about with gangster types

If Carroll wants to muck about with the gangbangers he can do it in the prison showers once he's been sent down.

Has Carroll been convicted of a crime yet like?

Do you want to have a bet on whether he will be?

"On 14 September 2008, Carroll was arrested by police called to the Pudding Chare in Newcastle responding to a report that a woman had been assaulted, and later accepted a police caution for assault. "

Doesn't bode well.

The only thing I remember about that match is being very, very stoned and it being a real struggle to concentrate.
