CT going on about dates using Gemmill as a proxy to dream about the single life.

I honestly could not think of anything worse than having to date again. If me and our lass went our separate ways then I would be a very content single bloke (with the aid of pornhub).

That said, if word got out I was single, there would be a queue around the block ;)

A few kilos heavier than I was before the weekend, thanks to Edinburgh. Apparently the "ScotDog", a hot dog topped with haggis and served with gravy, is a thing. I had to try it several times just to be sure. :dunno:

I keep wondering if I should join one of these 24 hour gyms (for the same early-waking reason as Gemmill) but I've pretty much got a good routine going at a gym convenient to go to after work so I don't think I'll mess with that. It's just mildly frustrating when I want to get in sharpish on a weekend and it doesn't open until 9.

Just played competitive 5 a side for the first time in about 5 years.bon the wrong end of. 5-3 loss. Fuck me, I was shit. I thought I was fit but I was breathing out my arsehole with ten minutes to go while this fat lad i was marking beat me to the ball. Clearly need a few games to regain match sharpness!

It certainly is, if the team you're playing are organised. I played a semi competitive game last week and pissed it. Bagged a brace, loads of gas left in the tank at the end of the hour, loads of time on the ball to pick a pass etc.

This week was an entirely different proposition. We didn't have any subs, it felt like I was pretty much sprinting around constantly the entire game to try and find space. Only managed one shot on target, barely saw the ball and despite all the running it felt like I was chasing shadows most of the game. Hamstrings tight today and pain in right Achilles. Creaking.

  • 3 weeks later...

After my two or three year battle to go from 14 stone 7 pounds to under 12 stone, I have just stepped on the scales and weighed in at exactly 12 stone...... :)

An hour before I have to go to an Italian restaurant for a birthday piss up :(

Life can be cruel!

:D Well done. I'm fluctuating around 12 stone myself now, though as a metric man it's the golden 75kg barrier that I'm still striving towards. Just might leave it till after... ooh, Christmas or so.

Aye Christmas is a killer, as is a wife who has fell off the wagon and keeps bringing no no's into the house.
