England vs France match thread

Mr.Fish, I was positivity pleased with Carroll's debut performence albeit the service to him was poor and I don't think he's at his best as a lone striker.

However I was not pleased with England's overall performence, from the kick-off the Frogs were just a better team and deserved to win.

AND, I still think Capello should have been fired after the World Cup.

Couldnt agree more about Nasri being at the best club in the world for developement and more so Arsene Wengers input. Ben Arfa, its always been his atitude since he was a bairn that has fucked him up. Ever since he threw a paddy at the age of 17 for not being selected you knew he was a badish apple, his ability is undoubted but i would hoy a tenner on Nasri being nomintaed for the Ballon d'or 2 times before Ben Arfa ever makes the list. Nasri's form is nowt to do wi it, he is and was as a youngster, a majestic and garceful footballer and he is destined for big things, well before the last 2 seasons aswell.

Dont get the wrong end of the stick lads, I dont not rate Ben Arfa, at his best he is highly dangerous, a Nasri, Malouda or Gourcuff he is not though.

He has more talent than the three of them put together. Malouda isn't technically brilliant he just applies himself fantastically well. At the right club, with the right manager (someone like SBR) Ben Arfa would be one of the best players in the world.

Fuck me. If you believe that your knowledge of world football is very limited mate.

What based on some wank on the wind up claiming to be from Wallsend with a down south IP address. I've seen Ben Arfa enough times in the past to know how good he is. Didn't see Real Madrid in for any of the three you mentioned. Dribbling wise there aren't many better, he's just never had stability if he gets it the sky is the limit.

I thought it was 47, no wiki involved.

You basing this on a couple of games he's played for us or were you an avid Marseille fan last year? Ben Arfa has always had the potential...

Presumably your first sentence means your second one is based on you being an avid Marseille fan.

Stevie is just reflecting how the french press generally have presented the potential of their younger players.

Down south IP address, I am sittin in Birtley where I have resided for over the last 5-6 year, as stated in another thread. Nowt but a wind up since me very first thread, nowt but a knob jockey. I meet you type of people day after day at graft, know it alls, impossible to tell them otherwise. Dribbling doesnt make a footballer.

The sun may of said Real Madrid were after Ben Arfa at one small point in his career, they werent. The 3 mentioned, especially Gourcuff and Nasri are better footballers than Ben Arfa. I am a realist mate, hes a very good player, one of the best on wor books, but a world beater he is not. He would of had a magical season this season if he hadnt of got chopped down by the dirty bastard that is De Jong, but that is because he was playing around poorer players. Gourcuff has been known as a master for a good few seasons now and Nasri was spoke in the same breath as Ribery, Henry etc when he first emerged. Nasri is know playing for a champions league team..... Ben Arfa, Us, with the supposed option of AC Milan, which is also widely known as being nowt but media bullshit.

An avid Marseille fan from Wallsend, who didn't know what pub Viv Graham was shot in, with a southern IP address, who puts "yee" in the title of a post. The jury have spoken. Nasri's in great form though, but anyone with half a clue knows Ben Arfa can be anything he wants to be. The fact he mentioned Malouda  a player absolutely hated by Chelsea fans for 18 month for being shit till he settled......rarely has a poster needed to pipe down more.

Read my comments after that and you will see i have followed french football, not avidly, but definetly closely over the last good few year. Simple reason for that is because it was quite an easy picings league to get bets off and betfair showed alot of their games.

Chelsea fans couldnt stand him, ya right. He was a player and half before he joined Chelsea and was a player and a half after he joined aswell. He took abit time to adapt big wow, his actual potential is there.

Gateshead is Birtley, just outskirts. Gateshead council, shitty morrisons who cant fix a boiler which is a whole different subject, You didnt say what pub Viv Graham died in, you said the last two he drank in. Viv Graham is the very last of my intrests though WDP(Stevie from what i gather). He really and truely is.

Yet Ben Arfa who is regarded in France as having more ability than all of them, is shite because some factory worker from Luton says so? Malouda, Gourcouff and Nasri. Ben Arfa was bought by OM to replace Nasri from OL who sold him because of his attitude, and they thought they were getting the better player. They were getting a more talented player but again he fell out with Deschamps and that was it.

You dafty I work for Sky at the listening company right next to the Jurys inn just owa the redheugh. I divent hafta prove meself to sum fucking middle aged little cunt who is reknown for being nothing but a divvy on here.

Clubs sign players as replacements ecause they genuinely believe them to be equal or better. I didnt realise you were the Marseille president and knew there views on both Nasri and Ben arfa.

Arfa was in the squad for one of the first times pre season, Nasri has been there time and time again. Malouda is highly experienced at that level and Gourcuff is easily, easily one of the top 10 players in the world.

At no time either did I say ben Arfa is shite, so try reading what i am saying first. Ben Arfa is good, just Nasri etc are better. Nasri = Arsenal, Malouda = Chelsea, Gourcuff = AC. Ben Arfa is plying is trade at us, it says it all tbf.

Graft at 7 in the morning, carry on all you want, your a dick and you have mastered the form.

Did a fuck, I said we will be on Sky or Espn. Never mentioned nowt about Birmingham and I will happily bring that thread up to prove that. I dont do installation stevie, I am a sales manager who specifically deals with the sports and the movies. But aye, you on the dole or factory working nah much better than someone who directly works for sky like, definetly.

I've been exposed? Before I lived in the south, I am on a fucking dongle with an IP address that changes everytime I fucking log on. I was born in wallsend moved to birtley about 5ish years ago, drink in the labour club every match am at and went down to Arsenal with Toontastic travel on the coach amanda organised and it was unfuckinreal. Where you there?

10 players better than Gourcouff (in no particular order):

Ronaldo

Messi

Xavi

Gerrard

Pique

Sneijder

Kaka

Iniesta

Sergio Ramos

Diego Forlan

Done. Oh, and Andrew Carroll

The lad is an idiot. He wouldn't be in the top 100 imo, and wouldn't start for Arsenal or Chelsea. You've got hundreds of players like Essien who are in a different league. The kid is a WUM, or young, one of the two, but at least he's forming his own opinions no matter how shit they are if he's not a WUM.

Im not sure how you can name top 10 players in different positions.

Ramos is a better right back than Gourchoff but vice-versa?

Good point. Perhaps he means of more value to a team. Either way he's talking total bollocks.

Are you referring to me or him? And the Andy Carroll bit was a joke, relax.

Regardless of position, you can have a general consensus over who the great players are at the moment. Sure, Iker Casillas is a keeper and Marlon Harewood is a striker, but theres no doubt that Casillas is a better player. GeordieMentalist didnt say "Gourcouff is one of the best central midfielders in the world"
