Java update available

Ignore everyone telling you to update. Switch updates off, they are pointless bug fixes. Sun (the people who make Java) are like Adobe. They release pointless updates all the time, probably to remind us they still exist.

The only time you need to upgrade will be when you install software that needs a newer version. But the new software will tell you when it installs.

They pushed out six updates in 2010, very excessive, it means an annoying popup every 2 months. The December update which LM has received is 23, which adds right-to-left languages support.

Feel free to pick out any of their updates to discuss further. I clicked on three and they were all irrelevant.

Here's all of versions 5 in a big list for you to skim. They all look like stability fixes, which since his programs work aren't required.
