stating how much effort was put in today?

As far as Im concerned we worked our arses off today, battled for every ball and really rattled the Arse.

Aye you couldn't fault anyone for their effort on Saturday, Faye inparticular, he had a great game yet the likes of the News of The World rated his performance as 5 out of 10? You've got to wonder do the reporters actually watch the games?

He's played well two weeks running now and, unlike the Villa game, it wasn't just a case of Faye looking good due to a poor team performance.

Off to Arsenal for 12 million next month. FACT!

At the risk of being unpopular, if we're going to play like that and crowd are going to enjoy it, let's do it properly and get Sam Allardyce.

It saddened me a little because Arsenal were trying to play football, we haven't got the players to do that anymore.

Still, we won

66960

There's not many teams can play Arsenal at their own game and beat them, to be fair, even if we did have the players. And nothing about Saturday saddened me.

It made me think of the flair players we had in the past and i do NOT mean Bellamy & Robert, however, with the current crop that was the only way we were gonna get anything out of it. I'm happy to see the team can battle it out like that, i didn't think they had it in them tbh. Parker & Faye were outstanding, Arsenal could have done with either of them on their team on Saturday, not often you can say that  I thought Boumsong was good too, Owen didn't look interested imo (is he injured?) and Nobby didn't do much other than score, still that was more than Henry, Ljungberg and Van Persie could do!

Ameobi the Peter Crouch-type figure in the midfield.

He has decent control of the ball and strong upper-body, but a lack of talent overall and those long legs don't help him when dribbling.

Shouldn't clap referees for sending players off either.

66728

Jesus wept!

Why JW here? I thought Ameobi looked a complete twat for clapping the sending off of Gilberto, especially since he must have known it wasn't a bookable offence. It would have pissed you off had it been the other way round, at least it should have.

Because, it appears to me at least, that Shola had a good game so people have to look for the most insignificant thing to slag him off for. Maybe, just maybe he thought it was karma for the way Gilberto contributed to Jenas getting sent off in the first game of the season. IMO if you think that what he did makes him look a twat then you must think just about every player looks a twat in every game at some point.

I didn't like it, that's all - I can't remember what Gilberto's contribution to Jenas getting sent off was. Did he clap? If so then that's fair enough. I can't imagine Shearer doing this though, he'd normally appeal to get him to stay on in the interests of fairness.

Nah, Gilberto went down like he was shot for the tackle that saw Jenas see a straight red against Arsenal. Plenty players do that like. As for Shearer, I take your point but he's hardly an angel is he? He clearly wound Fabregas up after the goal. Nowt wrong with that like. My only point was that people seem to look for any stick with which to beat Ameobi. Applauding the ref isn't exactly the sort of behaviour I like to see but it's no worse (not as bad imo) than the continual diving you see from loads of players. Having a go at Shola for applauding the ref is pretty picky in my view, especially given his performance.

From the replay i saw i could only see Faye applauding the ref for sending Gilberto off?

I was at the match, I watched MOTD and I can't remember either player doing it. I blame the drink tbh.

I don't like it when the wrongdoing of others is used as an excuse for the own mistreatment of fair play.

Would you like to elaborate? I'm not trying to be clever, just genuinely confused...:lol:

Whatever part Gilberto played in getting Jenas sent off in the away tie, it's no excuse for Ameobi (or Faye as I have seen it) clapping for another player getting sent off.

The same applies in general for all sorts of fouls/cheating when always is pointed with the finger at others than the own mistake being admitted.

Fair enough, if it was Faye though it sort of backs up my point about people dying to get on Ameobi's back for the slightest thing. Racialist tbh. Edit:

At the match I wasn't sure if it was Ameobi or Faye, I was 90% sure it was Ameobi on the Sky replay when I was sobre the next day. Embarassing if I'm wrong like....

One thing I will say about Shola when he's on that left wing is that he gets involved in a lot of moves - he doesn't hide. His lack of skill is still apparent though.

Not knowing this term I tried to look it up....

And got this:

On occasion, dungeon master might be used within the BDSM community or fiction to describe the owner or master of a BDSM dungeon a place more or less equipped and decorated for the playing out of BDSM sexual fantasies.

Hmm, so you are not only a bit too familiar with homosexual terms...
