I really fancy salmon for dinner now.........

This is up there with the purple and yellow striped kit Coventry had around 1997ish for shitness. Every Newcastle shirt I have seen is a wrong'un. Maybe they had one fan in mind when they designed it (allegedly).

I don't understand how upset some of our fans seem to get about the new kit.

Well it's just a pride in the shirt, y'knaa, tradition plus wanting it to look canny and not like some 4th division clubs cheap kit supplier has came on board. The club wants shot for not making more of an issue with the plain backs we've had to put up with. How can a club be told what their shirt has to be like? We should tell them to fuck off.

More $$$ as people think the blank panel looks stupid and needs a name/number to look 'complete'.

That’s an alien concept to many.

It’s predictably crud. If people didn’t buy it the club would make sure some real effort went into the next design and we might end up with a decent kit. Unfortunately not buying the latest kit is also an alien concept to many and the club can get away with churning out any old crap.

They’re not. I checked with the PL a while back and they do not make clubs have patches on the back of the shirts.

I actually don't mind it.

It's a grower, that's for sure. It's looking better than the last two identikit tops that we previously had. Still not a fan of the panel at the back.

But it seems to be the in thing on here to go apeshit over the new top everytime a new one is released.

It's nicer than last years by a mile when you look at the quality of the material, the sponsor etc.

It’s change for change sake, a lazy exercise in product differentiation.

If the sponsor panel on the front isn't a big plastic sheet, then it's a big improvement.

The hold crest looks awful, but it's limited edition thankfully.

Regarding the panel on the back, it's probably something the club have requested seeing as Adidas and now Puma have used it. It's crap looking.

And you're just being cynical for the sake of being cynical, tbh,
