Sounds to me you don't actually know how to use it - I'll give you £100 for it ?

You'll not be saying that when I'm hitting the red carpets this time next year.

..where you'll be getting 'papped' as much as those nappies you used to wear .

Nah I don't fancy that .

might try the driveby shooting approach myself tonight too

They've announced th Palm Pre 3 will be selling for £49.99, over £250 less than thought before.

Shite for apps and that goingforward, given it'll lose support, but for anyone still using an old school non-smartphone, it's a very cheap leg up for just whacking your existing SIM card in....

HP sent us all mails this morning offering the 16gb for £69 and the 32gb for £109.

Sold out in 3 minutes flat.

I snagged 3 16gb ones....though we'll see if there's the stock left to honour it. The T&Cs did say if stocks run out they won't be able to fulfil the order.

Some pessimistic stuff getting written about the future for Apple, with Jobs on his way.

Just heard Samsung have been banned in Europe along with HTC for breaching patent protection. Sounds pretty rosey for Apple.

Aye I saw that. 3 of their phones now can't be bought in some European countries.

As much as I like Android, the current range of tablets dont seem worth bothering with. Most of the reviews say that honeycomb feels like it's still in beta and a lot of apps are just phone versions. This will all change with google having bought motorola's tablet and smartphone division but not for a while yet.

LTB, have you read this?

Cheers G , yeah it's pretty much a non-starter tbh. Been reading allsorts of helicopter heads' forums on them. Apparently there's SIX factories in one district of China making these things. Ibex made the 'originals' then these clones got counter-cloned and are the inferior (combustable ?! ones) .

Basically just looking at a "workaround" vis-a-vis price on these tablet buggers but I know it's false economy at the end of the day.

Using 2.3 android on an Experia x10 at mo and pretty much great for everything. Even match streams work on it now (although always watch on tv running from pc)

Its basically a screensize/usability issue with phone that I'm looking to upgrade to larger screen/tablet. If I had mousehands I'd be in clover but it's just too fiddly at times. Think I'm right in saying you've been on with iphone and android, so how would you say ipad (tablet format) compares ? I mostly use lolling about at home while vacantly surfing the box, so whatever I get doesn't have to be all singing and dancing and no way would/can i warrant current costs of the fuckers, hence looking into these Dong Guk Lee glorified knock-offs .

Alas, I am but a slave in this consumerist world my friend :icon_lol:

Yeah I had the original iPhone, then I went to an HTC Desire and have stuck with Android and now have a Samsung Galaxy S2. And I've just recently bought an iPad.

I like the relative freedom that you have with Android, and the ability to use Flash, and I really didn't need an iPad at all - my lass text me from the Apple shop to say she'd been there 20 minutes and nobody was serving her, and I very nearly rang and told her to sack it off cos we were being daft getting them (obviously she had to have one if I got one ffs!). And when I woke up the day after getting it, my immediate thought was "wtf were you doing buying that, you tool".

But honestly the more I use it, the more I like it. I was concerned that the lack of flash would be an issue, but I've barely noticed it at all. The BBC website always used to be a problem on the iPhone in terms of playing videos, but there's a BBC News app anyway where all the videos work fine.

I just use mine for twitter, the internet and reading articles in things like Flipboard and it's great for that. There's definitely something different about the experience of using a tablet rather than a laptop.

If I was you, I think you've got two realistic choices to avoid disappointment at the minute. Either get an iPad, or wait until better Android tablets become available. I think buying an Android tablet now is probably setting yourself up for a fall.

I'm prone to impulse buys myself 'cant take it with you/you only live once' and all that, so I've done well not to have gone for one thus far, but think you're right (and from reading up on some) in that best to hang fire until further develop them and probable (inevitable ?) price drop once market becomes more open and with technological progress and wotnot .

Anyway - how's this concept album getting on ?
