Importing the Fixtures to your calendar

As I was sat putting one fixture at a time into my phone, the arsenal fan sat next to me at work showed me that their official site has all the fixtures in a single file you can import to outlook, googlemail etc.

Our official site doesn't have one.

I found this though, if anyone's interested...

http://www.lattys.com/nufc_fixtures.html

It does the job, imports all the fixtures into your calendar.

Does anyone know of a calendar you can subscribe to though, that updates as and when Sky stick their beak in?

Thanks, very handy.

If you're using Google Mail (or Google Mail for Apps) you can subscribe to the Newcastle United calendar (Add, Browse Interesting Calendars, Sports -> Football -> English Premier League -> Newcastle United). This shows all the fixtures with kick-off times and it's updated with the score after the match.

I assume it gets updated if the fixture is moved for any reason. No idea who keeps it up-to-date mind.

Problem with importing is that they're then stored locally. Any changes won't show up. Best to subscibe to some sort of feed.

Google has plenty of sports calendars to subscribe to. They would be the best for up to date changes in fixutres and times but annoyingly displays games as "Arsenal @ Newcastle" and even more annoyingly they don't sync to phones! Hopefully they're working on that.

I used this site last season: http://www.markthisdate.com/ ( http://www.markthisdate.com/calendar/Newca...2012_12601.html )

And they were pretty quick to update fixture changes at the back end of the season.

Does it automatically update when fixtures are changed for TV etc?

The guy that hosts it has to do it on his side. But last season they had the times and had things updated within a week. Hopefully will be the same.

At the moment there's doesn't seem to be anything out there that ticks all the boxes

trying to get it on the iPhone, but it's calendar has no import function. No doubt there'll be a payable app.

Theres loads of free apps that you can use to import the fixtures on the iPhone

What calendar are you trying to sync with Fishmeister?

CalenGoo works quite well for Google calendars and it's only 59p (I think).

Google calendar will sync to your iPhone for nada through a gmail account. Just need to turn on calendar under the mail, contacts, calendars menu for your gmail account.

That won't sync the calendars you're subscribed too though ;)

Almost all Google calendars you can subscribe to sync to the phone no problem. Like the "Birthdays of Contacts" one for example. But for some reason their sports ones don't. There must be some sort of rights or copyright issues going on.

  • 2 months later...

"United have announced three fixture changes. The home game with Chelsea on December 3 has been shifted to 12.45pm, the trip to Liverpool is now on December 30 at 7.45pm, and the Manchester United home game will now be on January 4 with an 8pm kick-off."

You can put the fixture list up on TT now....

It was always a fucking disgrace like.

I propose a stickied set that's locked for responses. The OP can have all the fixtures in with results and scorers, then 1 post per fixture can follow with full teams, subs, bookings, sendings off, attendances etc.

That way, every season we'll have a 39 post overview of it in it's entirity :)
