Watching the highlights confirms how fucking shit Perch actually is, garbage. Also Rob Elliot isn't too convincing either. On the other hand Marveux looks very good.

Where's the highlights mate?

I'd like to see Marveux, Bafra and Cabaye on the pitch at the same time.

You could only play one striker with them three on.

............Cabaye...........Tiote............

.......................Narveux..................

...........................Bafra.................

................Best.................Ba..........

<_<

Get away with this at home.

Would leave us more open than Jodie Marsh's legs that. Where would the width come from?

Tiote and Cabaye can both hold man.

Spurs circa when they had shit DM's... <_<

Think Guti fukcing about wasting time on the left with no end product ala a def winger (Italy 90's) is more away game material.

Santon and Wilson can bomb forward anyway both have decent pace.

Ba likes to drop off where Guti plays anyway.

Tiote covers left channel

Cabaye covers right channel

Simpson is shit going forward tbh.

In fact 'going forward' didn't need to be added.

Yeah scratch that. <_<

Think we can play a decent passing game with that formation...Linking between the zones and Bafra roaming.

Parky proposing a 4-2-1-1-1-1 ?

4-3-2-1

It's what Barca play. <_<

Bafra and Ba interchanging behind Best.

------->

<--------

Making long balls instinctively pointless.

The 442 Pardoo plays won't work against strong/3 man central midfields.

However it would be better against say Manu where the wingers bomb on and the forward rotate deep.

Marveaux is still a bit of an unknown property, playing in the League Cup against Forest doesn't really change that (as far as Pardew is concerned anyway). I think he'll plan to play 4-4-1-1 with Ben Arfa in behind the striker. I think that gives him licence to play where he wants but keeps us quite solid. The midfield'll be Jonas-Tiote-Cabaye-Obertan with Cabaye playing the further forward of the midfield two. I'm not convinced any of the strikers we have can play as a loan target man but, then again, they don't look great as a two either.

I agree, that's what pardoo wants.

I'm trying to shoehorn Marveux in. <_<

Just going off the three goals we conceeded Perch seemed poor for all of them (although the way the ball was deflected into Derbyshire's patch for the second goal seemed a bit of a fluke) and Elliot didn't exactly suggest he should be in ahead of Krul or Harper.

If Marveux is any good at all....and he looks like like he may be....then obertan won't hold down a place as he doesn't do enough of anything.
