That depends. Some Bethesda QA tester completed Skyrim in 2 hours. There are people on the BF3 leaderboards who have already put over 5 days worth of playtime into it.

If you're not that fussed about BF3 multiplayer then yeah, you'll probably find yourself playing Skyrim for longer.

yes, while in a race with another staff member playing a game he will have been testing for months, skipping most conversations, doing no sidequests etc

I know. I was agreeing with you. Depends entirely on how you choose to play them. I'm sure you could still do a decent playthrough in a few hours on Skyrim, but if you go for everything it has to offer than yeah it'll take a long, long time.

They completed the Oblivion race in 1 hour 30 mins. I don't see a decent play through on Oblivion being a few hours.

Just bought this. How many bloody updates are there!? 30% into a big Multiplayer update...but anyway, looking forward to it. Ridiculous that this is £30 when COD MW3 which is essentially the same as all the other MW games is still £45 in most shops. Really looking forward to trying out Battlefield, though, despite being a COD player ever since COD2. I hear it is more team based so hopefully there will be less of the people who just play for the high K/D ratios like there are in COD.
