Those sort of jokey comments have to make sense in the context you're telling them.

Unless "please stop posting about football, I'll talk about something else if it stops you talking about football" is considered hitting on a girl in Norway?

If that's the case then I'm guilty as charged.

edit; hope that little education lesson will improve your banter in the future, maybe it's just a Norwegian thing.

to spend in januar according to the sunday sun. Shite source but still.

In lieu of Mancmags advice to be patient and not expect too much, I guess 8 mill is better than zero?

Would get us a defender of adequate quality, but the change would not even impress Bognor.

Ah well, maybe Carr can conjure up something. its nearly 2 and a half Tiotes, which isnt too bad.

Its actually surprising given our history, but still inadequate when you realise how many positions we need strengthened though.

We have a right shopping list if we are to adress everything, would take 20 mill minimum to remedy.

Why is january such a terrible window for all but the top-4 clubs? Unless you are financially strapped for cash you dont have to sell?

Most clubs dont in january...

How about:

Other team: We offer £xxm for this player.

Us: No.

See very simple.

£8m net spend would be Ashley's most expensive window by quite some distance...

And contradicts the other story in the same paper that NUFC will follow the same tried and tested approach of the last few years.

Pinch of salt.

With just 8 mill at hand, we need to be creative and look abroad to places like Romania, Bulgaria, Balkan, Scandinavia etc. Heading down to championship to pick out unwanted James Perch'ers is not being creative..

Has he been given alot of playing time though? Cant really see how he can play himself into form by being a sub every now and then.

He was awful at Sampdoria last year.

Samba is off to tottenham, and hoilett to manure. Those are not the players we have in mind, think shuffling through the trash and gutter and you are closer to what we will end up with.

What is Kuqi up to these days?
