This is a hard one. On feelings towards club, I'd go with Carroll as he's a Geordie through and through. But on ability I'm going to have to go with Ba.

Thoughts?

Probably the worst reason I've ever heard.

I would because Demba Ba's knee is 'a ticking time bomb' © Pulis, and if AC came back, he would carry on where he left off. *

* Neither of these things might be true, but in my mind they are. If he came back from the w-p's and started banging them in again, for a third of the price nothing would make me happier.

Based on current form and goals scored I definitely wouldn't swap Ba for Carroll.

However I lean towards Carroll cos he's from Gateshead.

He'll be a Black & White Geordie all his life.

He likes a sup, has some baggage, but doesn't need to fast or use a prayer-mat.

If that's your philosophy we may as well bring back Joe Allon.

Mind, if we had them both, It'd be a beautiful relationship, like Forrest and Bubba back together again.

Can imagine Carroll with a long ball from Krul coming towards him, leaping like a salmon to beat two defenders shouting "I gotta find Demba!"
