It wasn't a complement towards the scouser. He's not intentionally funny. ie. Frank Spencer.

James Hunter, the makem reporter from the Sunday Sun is funny. This is what he said about a makem clown called Fletcher after the Leeds game.' .....and would have had a couple of goals had it not been for the bar in the first half and the keeper in the second'

Just saw on Sky Sports News that Sunderland are closing the cash turnstiles for their remaining two home games to stop Newcastle fans going to take the piss.

You’d surely think that a set of fans who paid a to fly a plane over St.James’ park (on a day we were humping Spurs 5-1 with 10 men), celebrating our narrow relegation, would be able to take a bit of piss taking over their impending drop to a division that will likely include Accrington Stanley and Fleetwood Town.

The plane idea would've been funnier this year

Aye. Simply "2 in a row", nothing else, at the Wolves match would have been canny funny. Well, a bit, maybe.

Only downside is there wouldn't be anyone to see it bar the away fans

Its infested with them.

Should stick the message on the Gregg's bags. Only downside is they wouldn't be able to read it. I'm here all week btw
