2-1 defeat at Scunthorpe to 6th favourites to win an European trophy in 2 and a half years. Not bad. Quite a decent chance we may get a Scottish team too. Celtic and Motherwell are both in the CL 3rd Quals and if they lose they go in to the play off round, they both probably will given recent history, so in the play off round there'll be Celtic, Motherwell, Hearts, Dundee United and St Johnstone. Would absolutely love us to play Celtic, I'd pray for it even. In the groups a trip to Bilbao would be the stuff of dreams too.

The only side there who are head and shoulders better than us are Tottenham. Strites as well, we're more than capable of doing anyone else. Inter are in their worst moment for 40 years imo. That last sentence reads like a dutchman saying it.

Aye, I could see Napoli doing us but a defensive display like Chelsea's is hardly out of the question for us. Steven Taylor hoying himself at everything and Shola back to help oot. Sound.

Would love an away day at Bilbao like. Sparta Prague too just to go on the lash in Prague with £1.20 pints.

Pure pony. The same Napoli who lost 4-1 to a team we went and did 0-2 on their own ground. I wouldn't swap Cisse for any of their strikers. Bilbao a side who came 11th in Spain. Our midfield is better than Atletico Madrid's, Turan hasn't come on like he should have, Tiago was shite at Chelsea and despite playing for some big clubs has had an uninspiring career and he's slow now, Diego hasn't kicked on like many thought he would do and become one of the best. They're a canny side, but in midfield and up front, despite ridiculous transfer fees, they're nee better than us. Straight up I wouldn't swap Cisse for Falcao, although people will be blinded by his two goals in the UEFA Final which imo were shambolic defending.

The 20yard overhead kick into the top corner the other day was hardly shambolic defending. Anyway, going on your logic we should be champions of Europe now seeing as how we beat Chelsea

...and given your logic we might as well not bother. Statistically the Premiership is still marginally the best league in the world, we came 5th. We should fear NO CATH WORD. Edited by McFaul

Why would the likes of Bilbao tonk us? They barely came in the top half of La Liga.

Also as good as Cisse has been, Falcao is like a £35-40m striker, there is no way Cisse is better than him.

Would be worth seeing if we can get it to filter automatically to have it come up ''Cathword'' as it would regularly come up c**t.

True. But the league has had a very poor record in the Europa/UEFA Cup.

Amongst the bigger teams because they can't be arsed - see Tottenham last year. The fact Boro and Fulham both deservedly reached the final recently shows it's worth putting your heart and soul in to it.
