I just saw a post in General about a little lad. His dad is Aguero, his grandpa is Maradona and his godfather is Messi.

 

Has there ever been a pro footballer who was better than his father.

 

Jordi Cruyff - No

Scott Gemmil - No

Nigel Clough - No?

 

Was Craig Burley better than his dad?

therell be loads, a ton of players dads were lower level players in their time, Jay Rodriguez whose just gone to southampton from burnley was a player but didnt get anywhere near his lads level

Michael Owen's old man was a player...cant remember who for so its pretty safe to say that that Micheal was better than his old man...its not known if his old man was an equine obsessed malingering cunt in the latter years of his career though...
